With the January release of her first record Teapot Trees and Lovebirds Sarah Humphreys quickly became the songwriter to watch in 2008. Produced by Michael Carpenter at Love Hz Studios in Sydney, this is an album of 60’s inspired folk/pop songs that will make you cry and smile at exactly the same time. ‘Earthy, grounded and honest’ Drum Media

Her 2005 release, an EP by the name of Ghost On The Roof recorded at Sarah's house in Wamberal on the NSW Central Coast received rave reviews for it's organic and honest delivery and radio airplay around the country, all of which exceeded her expectations. Since then she has traveled all over Australia, supporting major artists and also funding her own independent tours.

The last few years has seen Sarah playing alongside and touring the country with the likes of Kasey Chambers & Shane Nicholson, Sara Storer, Diesel, Kate Miller Heidke, Mick Hart & Mark Seymour. This, combined with Triple J, FBI (Sydney), RRR (Melbourne) and community radio support, her independent records are enjoying success around Australia.

In early 2009, Sarah signed a publishing deal with Mushroom Music and has already received extensive airplay in Australian and international television & movies.

A natural singer, her voice and songs come from a very honest place. Drawing inspiration from a broad range of influences including Nick Drake, Joni Mitchell, Frente, The Beach Boys and ELO, her songs are melodically rich and straight from the heart.

She has now embarked on a new musical adventure and has just finished co-producing her new EP Autumn with Shane Nicholson on The Central Coast. It was recorded during the Autumn & Winter of 2009 and tells tales of love, loss and forgiveness. The EP will be released nationally in Oct/Nov 2009 through Sarah's own label, May Records & Green/MGM distribution with a tour planned for early 2010.
